"Rock, Pop, and Coun-tray", is a group of musicians based in the Tri Cities Tennessee area, who love to play a variety of music from the 70's, 80's and 90's. And in true Tribute to Elvis Presley, the King of Rock & Roll, we include Gospel material.
Alfreda is the gal who handles Lead Vocals for RPAC. She has sung since she was 3 years old, starting in Church with her parents. Her love for singing continued with her all through Elementary, Middle and High school. And still today in Church. She credits Tanya Tucker as a major influence on her singing.
Alfreda and J.R. (piano/keys), grew up together as brother and sister. Bad and Good ... LOL !!!
Alfreda and her husband Tim, enjoy working in their yard, and taking trips. Their daughter Tanya, works as a Sound Engineer for Dollywood.
J.R. has been banging on the piano since he was 3 years old. His was very heavily influenced by his Uncle Igeary. His Celebrity heroe's are Floyd Cramer, Ronnie Milsap, and Neal Doughty (REO Speedwagon).
J.R. has an A.A.S. Degree in Electronics from Northeast State Technical College, and is the "Nerd" (Audio / Visual / Computer) of the band.
He also plays at Church, as well as involved in the Sound / Lighting Department as well.
Steve has been playing Bass Guitar since he was 11 years old. His earliest influences were Southern Gospel groups including: the Hinsons, Happy Goodmans, Rambos. He also has a love for Patti Loveless, Elvis Presley, Ronnie Milsap, Eagles and more in the secular field.
Steves favorite guitars are Fender and Sadowsky. He just loves to say it ... Suh-dows-key.
Also known as "Poppy", Steve enjoys being out on the lake with his wife and grandchildren fishing when possible.
R.J. is a Saxophone playing machine. While he is primarily a music reader, he developed the ability more to play be ear, allowing him to improvise more.
R.J. is currently involved in college studies.
He is also an avid swimmer, having competed in many swim meets.
When he's not playing Sax, or swimming, he is active in his Church Band. He also enjoys spending time with his mother and grandmother.
